Reigning world champion and Howard University product David Oliver finished first in the men's 110m hurdles at the 2015 USAF Outdoor Championships, Sunday, at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. He becomes the third athlete from an HBCU to claim a national title at this year's event.
As defending world champion, Oliver had already earned a spot at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China in August but he left no doubt about his readiness easily finishing ahead of the field in the final event of the day. Ronnie Ash, who began his track career at Bethune-Cookman also earned a spot on Team USA finishing second to Oliver.
