Dover, Del.--- The fan experience at Delaware State University’s Memorial Hall gymnasium will soon reach a whole new level. Hornet fans attending this weekend’s home basketball contests will be the first treated to the new multi-media display system, featuring video screens and scoreboards in Memorial Hall.del state scoreboard

The new boards will be in operation for the Hornets’ men’s basketball contest against Keystone this Saturday (Dec. 10) at 4 p.m. and for the DSU/NJIT women’s basketball game this Sunday at 1 p.m.

The video screens on the 6-foot-6-inch x 10-foot boards are 192 lines by 288 columns. The LED video display also features game-in-progress as well as requested stats information.

One board is located in the northeast corner of the gym and the other near the southwest entrance.

“We are thrilled to partner with Daktronics to bring a new level of fun and excitement for our fans in Memorial Hall,” said Louis Skip Perkins, Delaware State Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics. “In addition to enhancing Hornet sporting events, the multi-media boards will allow the university to offer attractions on the big screen for the entire campus community to enjoy.”
