SWAC Bulldogs To Meet MEAC Bulldogs Saturday in Orangeburg

Alabama A&M won't need to wait two weeks to begin their spring football season.

AAMU was scheduled to face Mississippi Valley State in Itta Bena on Saturday but the Delta Devils postponed the game due to COVID concerns.

Head football ccoach Connell Maynor made some phone calls to colleagues in the MEAC. (He once coached at Hampton when they were in the league) and found South Carolina State willing to host a game this weekend..

Alcorn State's decision to opt out of spring football left some holes in SWAC team schedules and S,C. State seemed willing to fill some of the void.

The MEAC bulldogs are scheduled to meet Alabama State on April 3 in Montgomery.
