"I am pleased that Dr. Kirsch has agreed to serve as our interim head coach for women's soccer," Duckworth said. "Having 14 years of coaching experience and the knowledge that he has of the women's soccer program made him a good fit. I am confident that Coach Kirsch will do a fine job during this period of transition."

Kirsch was named the head women's and men's soccer coach at South Georgia State College in July of 2009. In his three years as head coach, South Georgia State College complied a 30-26-4 overall record, then made an appearance in the conference semi-finals round all three years under this leadership.

Before joining South Georgia State College, Kirsch was the head boys soccer coach at Nease High School in St. Augustine, Florida from 2006-2009. Under his leadership, the team won back-to-back Florida 4A-State, Region and District Championships.
