Big change announced at Arkansas-Pine Bluff Athletics

uapb lionIn a letter posted on the university athletics website, Arkansas-Pine Bluff Chancellor Laurence Alexander has announced the departure of Athletics Director Melvin Hines. Hines' departure follows an annual evaluation "which revealed that it was time to move in a new direction" according to the letter.

Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director Keith McCluney has been named Acting AD effective immediately. McCluney, a former student athlete at Fayetteville State University, brings a wealth of experience in athletics administration to the position from a career dating back to 2004.

The obligitory national search will begin immediately.
