WILBERFORCE, Ohio - Jasmine Ellis has been named Central State University's Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance. Ellis, who officially joined the CSU staff earlier in August, will also serve as the department's Senior Woman Administrator.Ellis

"Ms. Ellis has demonstrated a vast amount of knowledge and experience in areas of compliance and student-athlete services throughout her career as an athletic administrator. We have the upmost confidence in Ms. Ellis and believe she will contribute immediately to the overall success of the athletic department and have a positive impact on our programs."
Before joining the CSU Department of Athletics, Ellis spent two years as the Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Operations at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. During her most recent tenure as the Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Operations, Ellis provided leadership and oversight for all internal operations of Rattler Athletics, overseeing Title IX and sexual assault education, leading a comprehensive NCAA Division II compliance program, identifying and providing academic support services to over 200 student-athletes and drafting department policy for student-athletes and athletics department personnel. Prior to being appointed to the Associate Athletic Director's position, Ellis previously worked at the University as the Director of Compliance from the Spring of 2013 to the Summer of 2016.
Ellis also served as the Assistant Director of Compliance at California State University - San Marcos during the 2016-2017 academic year. At CSUSM, Ellis assisted in ensuring institutional control in all phases of the compliance program. Ellis also ensured CSUSM athletics complied with NCAA and University regulations, policies and procedures during CSUSM's final year of the NCAA Division II membership transition process. While at CSUSM, Ellis was a member of the senior administrative team, worked as a committee member of the Gender Equity and Diversity Initiatives Committee and served as a co-advisor for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Ellis earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Sport Management from Christian Brothers University in 2012. She then went on to earn a master's degree in Sport and Leisure Commerce at the University of Memphis in 2013. Ellis most recently earned her second master's degree in December 2018, completing her Master of Business Administration, concentrating in General Management from St. Mary's University.
