Custom Search Virginia Union University's Sports Information Director, Jim Junot, has been named to the D2SIDA Regional Voting Committee for women's basketball, it was announced on Wednesday, January 4.

Junot, who has been at Virginia Union since 2003, will be one of two CIAA representatives on the committee.
The D2SIDA votes on the regional rankings in the Atlantic Region for women's basketball. The Atlantic Region consists of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) the Mountain East Conference and the CIAA.
"I'm thrilled to be named to the voting committee," Junot said. "This is a great opportunity for me to help represent not just VUU but also the CIAA."
The D2SIDA committee will vote every week until the last three weeks of the season. The NCAA will then take over the regional rankings, and will ultimately determine which teams will go to the NCAA Tournament and host the first three rounds of the regionals.
Virginia Union hosted the Atlantic Regional last season and the Lady Panthers are currently ranked #1 in the Atlantic Region.
