WILBERFORCE, Ohio -- Jahan Culbreath, Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Athletics at Central State University, has announced Harry Stinson III as the new Associate Athletics Director/Compliance.Stinson
"We are delighted to have Mr. Harry Stinson, III joining the CSU community," Culbreath said. "Mr. Stinson will assume major responsibilities related to athletics management, compliance and oversight of the day-to-day operations of all athletic activities. Mr. Stinson is well respected in the field and was highly sought after from major universities."
Stinson previously served as the Interim Athletics Director at Kentucky State University. In addition to his responsibilities as Interim AD, Stinson also handled external operations and compliance for the athletic department as well as head men's golf coach.
Stinson was responsible for certifying student-athletes for competition, managing and monitoring all areas of athletics compliance and supervising all game day operations. He also served as the sport administrator for all thirteen sports and oversaw athletic training and sports information during his tenure at KSU. Harry started the KSU Licensing Program, was the liaison between Athletics and Alumni Associations and was in charge of creating and implementing marketing, fundraising, fan development and development initiatives and programs for athletics. In the spring of 2014, Stinson led the Kentucky State men's golf team to the inaugural SIAC Men's Golf Championship.
Prior to his arrival at KSU in December of 2009, Stinson served as the Director of Championships, Communications and Marketing at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) for nearly five years. He also served as Interim Commissioner during 2008-09. Harry began his athletic career as a coach at Dr. Phillips High School (Orlando, Fla.) coaching track and field, basketball and football. He also worked in Basketball Operations at the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), as a League Administrator at the World Boxing League and as Director of Operations at the Georgia World Games Sports Commission.
Harry serves on several committees including the NCAA Division II Committee on Infractions, NCAA Eligibility Center Advisory Board, MOAA Board of Directors, NAAC Division II Committee, SIAC Bylaw and Sport Regulation Committee, SIAC Sport Supervising Committee and a host of other conference and collegiate governing bodies.
