BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jackson State will face off with No. 1 North Carolina (UNC) in the first round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship on Friday, Nov. 12, 5 PM Eastern at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, N.C.
North Carolina (17-2-2) was an at-large selection from the Atlantic Coast Conference while Jackson State (13-6-1) earned an automatic bid after winning the SWAC Championship. The Tar Heels won the 2009 NCAA Championship after defeating Stanford 1-0.

Because of concurrent women's and men's basketball games on UNC’s campus Friday evening, fans are encouraged to arrive early for the soccer game.
