The Chronicle, a newspaper based in Winston-Salem, is reporting that Anne Little will be named athetic director at Winston-Salem State Unversity.Little, a graduate of Livingstone College and former public relations director for the CIAA, currently serves as assistant to the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. She emerged as one of two finalists in a highly secretive process at the university, apparently with the support of "several prominent WSSU alumni", the article stated.
Written by sports editor Sam Davis, the article states that WSSU Chancellor Alvin J. Schexnider was expected to announce his choice for athletic director at the school's Board of Trustees meeting on Thursday, June 5.
If selected, Little would replace Al Roseboro, who resigned effective July 1, 1997.
