Two Black College alumni swept to victories at the U.S. Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis. Jearl Miles-Clark and Antonio Pettigrew both won titles in the 400 meter run.Alabama A&M alum Miles-Clark ran a career-best 49.40 to positon herself for a unique world championship sweep. She won the 1997 world indoor chlampionship earlier this year. Miles-Clark knows how to win a world championship having captured the title four years ago.Pettigrew, a product of St. Augustine's College and 1991 world champion in the event, ran a 44.65 to win his fourth national title.Front Page | Newsroom Index |
