Tennessee State University has hired Ed Atlas as sports information director.Atlas, 36, who previously worked as an assistant SID at Louisville and LSU,will also take on the title of assistant athletic director.
"I think that Tennessee State is a dream position for me," said Atlas,who has been away from college athletics the past 11 years. "It's close toLouisville, where I am from. I think the tradition here is as good as itgets."
"I'm very happy to got the chance to come here and go to work for Dr.(Vivian) Fuller. I think she has this place heading in the right direction."
Atlas replaces Johnny Franks, who resigned after 10 years at the schoolto go into private business.
