Lady Pirates Place Two On All - MEAC Softball Team

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) released the 1997 all conference softball team today and Hampton University senior shortstop, Sara Washington, along with junior outfielder, Valerie White were named to the first team.
Washington is a Southfield, Michigan native that finished the season with a .377 batting average, with nine doubles, four triples, five home runs and 47 RBI's. The Pirates second leading hitter was Hampton native, Valerie White, who finished the year with a .385 batting average and
11 doubles, four triples, four home runs and 40 RBI's. The two helped the Pirates to a 13-3 MEAC Northern Division finish and a 20-23 overall record.
