  • Fort Valley State Vacancy
    Fort Valley State has scheduled a press conference for Wednesday (2/19) morning to name its new football head coach. University President Dr. Kofi Lomotey would not reveal his selection, but said the finalists were Norfolk State assistant John Morgan, FVSU interim coach Donald Dykes and former high school coach John Willis.

  • CIAA Tipoffs
    Best-selling author Terrie Williams will add her touch to the women participants of the 2003 CIAA Women's Basketball Tournament, at the annual Tip-Off Banquet, Sunday, February 23, at the Embassy Suites, Cary, North Carolina.

    Williams is the founder of The Terrie Williams Agency, a public relations firm that has represented celebrities such as Eddie Murphy and Boyz II Men.

    Bill Overton, author and actor, will share his research on how the media has impacted African-American society at the 2003 CIAA Basketball Men's Tip-Off Banquet, Feb. 25, 2003, Embassy Suites, Raleigh-Durham, Airport.
