CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
DUAN CROCKETT, So., F, Va. Union, Richmond, VA - Averaged 19.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists as the Panthers went 3-0. In a win over 9th ranked Bowie State, Crockett had 25 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
NAOMI MOBLEY, Sr., F, Shaw, Jacksonville, FL - Averaged 24.5 points, 18 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 blocks as 13th-ranked Lady Bears went 2-0. Mobley had 26 points and 20 rebounds vs. Bowie State.

ROOKIE
RHONDA BROWN, Fr., G, St. Augustine's, Radcliffe, KY- Had college-high of 20 points in loss to WSSU.
ZACHARY OZUNA, Fr., F, Eliz. City State, New York, NY - In 86-78 loss to St. Paul's, Ozuna had 14 points, six rebounds and one assist.

COACH
DAVE ROBBINS, Va. Union - Led Panthers to 3-0 week including 99-96 OT win over 9th-ranked Bowie State.
ERIC TUCKER, Fayetteville State - Had 2-0 week as Lady Broncos improved to 7-0 in W. Div. play.


MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
KIM WATSON, Sr., C, Florida A&M, Clewiston, FL - Had 47 points and 18 rebounds in two wins this week. She was 21 of 26 from the floor in the two games getting 32 points and 13 rebounds in an overtime win over second-place Delaware State, 26 in the second half, including six (6) of FAMU's 13 points in the overtime.
RICHARD TOUSSAINT, Sr., F, Bethune-Cookman, Philadelphia, PA - Scored a season-high 40 points in 78-69 win over NCA&T and also had 26 points vs. Morris Brown.

ROOKIE
THURMAN ZIMMERMAN, So., F, SC State, Columbia, SC - Helped SC State to victories over Florida A&M (69-63) and Morgan State (78-68). Scored a combined 25 points and 21 rebounds in the two games. He also had 4 assists, 4 steals and aone block.
SHAREKA MIA GLOVER, Fr., G, NC A&T, Landover, MD - In a 1-1 week, Glover scored a team-high 13 points, 7 assists and 3 steals in a loss to B-CC, 10 points with 4 assists and 4 steals in a win over Coppin State.

PLAYER
LARRY BOYKIN, Sr., G, LeMoyne-Owen, Macon, MS - Led the Magicians to a 2-1 record for the week averaging 26.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.7 steals and .3 b locks.
CRYSTAL DAVIS, Jr., F, Benedict, Augusta, GA - Led her team to a 1-1 record averaging 15.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks.


SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
AMIE WILLIAMS, 6-7, Jr., C, Jackson State, Cleveland, OH - In two games Williams averaged 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4.5 blocks. In her best game she had 38 points and 15 rebounds in a win over Southern.
BRIAN JACKSON, Jr., F, Alcorn State, Baker, LA - Posted career-high 29 points against Jackson State including 25 after halftime of a 93-91 double OT win. In two games he averaged 25.5 points and 7.5 rebounds

    Other notable performances last week:
  • Rakeem Hollis scored 40 points in double OT win over Prairie View including 14 in the final OT.
  • Tim Henderson (Jackson State) averaged 18.5 ppg., in two games and 11.0 rebounds. He had 27 in the loss to Alcorn State.
  • Malcolm Campbell (Alabama State) avgd. 13.5 points and 11.0 assists in two games. He had 16 points and 16 assists vs. MVSU.
  • Chovanique Kibble (Grambling) in two games avgd. 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds.
  • Shameka Jackson (Alabama State) had 25 points and 10 rebounds vs. UAPB.
