- In key wins over JC Smith and WSSU, Ray averaged 21 points, six rebounds and 3.5 steals
getting 28 points, seven rebounds and five assists
in against WSSU.

- Averaged 20 points, 19 rebounds and four assists in three wins.

AVIS WYATT, Fr., C, Virginia State, Petersburg, V A -
Got 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 blocks in overtime win vs. St. Paul's.
NATASHA BAILEY, Fr., G, NC Central, Berkley, CA
- Had 10 points and 13 rebounds, her first collegiate double-double, in win over JC Smith.

PHIL SPENCE, NC Central - Led Eagles to two big wins over JC Smith
and NC Central to move into first place in CIAA West.
JACQUES CURTIS, Shaw - Got three wins to improve to 18-2, ranked
15th nationally in NCAA Div. II basketball.
MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
MILES DAVIS, Jr., G, Delaware State, Philadelphia, PA - In big
wins over Hampton and Howard, Davis finished with a total of 32 points,
nine assists and seven three-pointers. He had 14 points and five assists
vs. Howard and had 12 of his 18 in overtime vs. Hampton.
LYNETTA SULLIVAN, Sr., G, Hampton, New York, NY - In two wins,
totalled 34 points, 13 rebounds, six steals, seven blocks and five assists.
In showdown win over DelState, she had 17 points, nine rebounds, four
assists and four blocks.
ROOKIE
THURMAN ZIMMERMAN, So., F, SC State, Columbia, SC - In three wins,
totalled 35 points, 15 rebounds, eight steals and six assists.
BIANCA JOHNSON, Jr., G, Hampton, Cedar Hill, TX - In two wins,
had 29 point total, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Vs.
DelState, she led all scorers with 22 points and added five rebounds,
three assists and two steals. Her defense held DSU's Mandy Johnson to
5-17 shooting and six turnovers.
SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PAUL HAYNES, Jr., F, Grambling State, Auburn Hills, MI - Led Tigers
to 2-0 week averaging 23 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists and steals.
Haynes had 25 points and 11 rebounds vs. MVSU.
AMIE WILLIAMS, 6-7, Jr., C, Jackson State, Cleveland, OH - Averaged
25 points and 8.5 rebounds in wins over MVSU and UAPB. WIlliams had 27
points, 11 rebounds and six blocks vs. MVSU and 23 points in 23 minutes
vs. UAPB.

· Malachi Thurston (Prairie View A&M) averaged 22.5 ppg in two
games.
· Tim Henderson (Jackson State) averaged 28.5 ppg and 7.5 rebounds
in two games.
· Attarrius Norwood (Miss.Valley) averaged 20.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg in
two games.
· Malcolm Campbell (Alabama State) averaged 19.5 ppg in two games.
· Latoya Johnson (Alcorn State) scored career high 20 pts and two
steals in final minute of their win against Southern (79-70)
· Shameka Jackson (Alabama State) had 26 pts and 9 rebs against Texas
Southern
· Tamisha Augustin (Alabama A&M) had 23 pts (11-16 FTA) against
Prairie View A&M

DAVID BOYD, Jr., F, Tuskegee, Athens, GA
- Led Tigers to 2-1 record averaging 12.7
points, 8.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 2.0 steals and
3.7 blocks.
KECHELLE EDWARDS, Sr., G, Kentucky State, Lexington,
KY- Led the Lady Thorbreds to 1-2 record averaging 14.7 points, 9.0 rebounds,
1.3 assists and 2.7 blocks.
MARTINA McClOUD, Sr., G, Tuskegee, Milwaukee, WI
- Averaged 21.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 2.0 steals for the week.
