MEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
HASSAN ROBINSON, So., G, St. Paul's, Norfolk, Va. - Averaged 34.3 points, six rebounds and two assists as Tigers went 2-1. Robinson had a career-high 41 points in 87-79 loss to Wingate and added six rebounds and three steals.

ROOKIE
CHARLES NICKENS, Fr., G, N. C. Central, Durhan, NC - In two games, Nickens averaged 13.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and two assists. Against Va. State, he had 15 points in an 84-76 win.

COACH
STEVE JOYNER, J. C. Smith - 3-0 for week with wins over ECSU, Lynn and Mars Hill.


MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
MOSES MALONE, Jr, Sr., G, S. C. State - Had 38 points in two games while leading Bulldogs to 1-1 record. Had 23 against Alabama A&M on 8-15 shooting including four three-pointers. Also had 15 in a loss to Auburn.

ROOKIE
JEFF GRANGER, Fr., G, Hampton - Averaged 8.5 points and 2.0 steals while Pirates went 2-0.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
TREVIA PITTMAN, Jr., G, Eliz. City State, Rochy Mount, NC. - Averaged 18 points, 2.3 rebounds and two assists in three games as Lady VIkes went 2-1. In a win over Allen, Pittman had 24 points in 17 minutes of play.

ROOKIE
SHANELL ROBERTS, Fr., G, Va. Union, Miami, FL - In three games, averaged 10 points, 3.3 assists, three steals and 2.3 rebounds.

COACH
MOSES GOLATT, Va. Union - Off to 4-1 start this season.


MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
ASIA PETTY, Sr., G, Howard, Perris, CA - Totaled 58 points in two games shooting 53% from three-point range, had 13 rebounds, five steals and seven assists played at Duke Invitational. In loss to Buffalo, she had a career-high 34 points. In the loss to Duke, she scored 18.

ROOKIE
LATOYA DENT, Fr., G, S. C. State - Scored 19 points in 89-73 win against UNC-Asheville, also had two rebounds and two steals.
