  • SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

    NICHOLAS EGLAND, 6-6, Fr., F, Southern, Lake Charles, LA - In two games, Egland scored 20 points and grabbed 31 rebounds. He grabbed 25 rebounds against UAPB, the second highest total this season in Div. I.
    TYRONE LEVETT, 6-5, Sr., F, Alabama State, Notsaulga, Al - In two games, he averaged 14 points and 8.5 rebounds. He had 18 pts., 12 rebounds vs. UAPB and hit two game-winning free throws with 17 seconds left in 64-63 win over Alabama A&M.
    SHAMEEKA JACKSON, 5-10, Jr., F, Alabama State, Saginaw, MI - She averaged 24 points and eight rebounds in two games. Against Alabama A&M, she scored 28 points had ten rebounds and one steal.

  • SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
    LARRY BOYKINS, 6-3, Jr., G, LeMoyne-Owen, - Averaged 20 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals and .5 blocked shots.
    GABRIEL BROWNLEY, 6-6, Fr., G, Miles, Memphis, TN - Averaged 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocked shots.
    LITREECE HURN, 5-10, Fr., F/C, Lane, Milwaukee, WI - Averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 4.0 steals. for the week. Tarpkins is a 5-6 freshman from Eatonton, Ga.
  • MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
    KYLE WILLIAMS, 6-6, Jr., G, Howard, Burlington, NJ - In two wins, Williams totalled 51 points, nine rebounds, five steals and four assists.
    BRUCE JENKINS, 6-6, Sr., F, NC A&T, Silver Spring, MD - In to overtime losses Jenkins totalled 48 points and 28 rebounds. He hit on 16 of 30 FG attempts and 17 of 26 free throws.
    ANDREA GARDNER, 6-3, Sr., C, Howard, Washington, DC - In two wins for the Lady Bison, Gardner collected 44 points and 26 rebounds, while connecting on 13 of 21 shots. She also had six steals and three blocks.

    ROOKIE

    Terrelle Waller, 5-7, Fr., G, Delaware State, Hyattsville, MD - Repeats as Rookie Award winner after otalling 34 points on 10 of 22 shooting in two wins.
    JUSTIN BOWEN, 6-6, Fr., F., UMES - In two wins, Bowen totalled 25 points including the game-winning shot at the buzzer to beat Morgan State. He also had 16 rebounds for the week.

  • CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
    ANTOINE SIMS, 5-10, Sr., G, Johnson C. Smith, Buffalo, NY - Averaged 32 points, five assists, 3.5 steals in two wins last week. Sims had 35 points including six three-pointers, six assists and four steals in 87-85 win over Fayetteville State Saturday.
    AMBA KONGOLO, 6-3, Sr., C, NC Central, Kinshasha, Congo - Averaged 25.5 ppg., 11.5 rpg., and 2.5 bpg., as the Lady Eagles went 2-0. Against St. Aug's, she had 28 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and three assists.

    ROOKIE
    ALLISON HARDY, 5-5, Fr., G, Bowie State, Germantown, MD - In three games this week, Hardy averaged 15 pioints, nine rebounds, 5.3 assists and three steals. Against Shaw she had 26 points, four assists and four steals.
    HASSAN ROBINSON, 6-6, Fr., F, St. Paul's, Norfolk, VA - Had three-game total of 44 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and five steals for the Tigers this week. He best game was 16 points and nine rebounds vs. J. C. Smith.
