STEVE McNAIR
6-2, 235, QB, Tennessee Titans, (7th year, ALCORN STATE)
Completed 12 of 17 passes for 244 yards and three TDs (43, 5 and 71 yards) in 31-15 win over Cleveland despite suffering an injured arm. McNair also rushed twice for 10 yards. As McNair was escorted to the locker room cradling his numb left arm, the Titans braced themselves for the worst. But once McNair got the feeling back, it wasn't long before the Titans' playoff chances returned, too. McNair, who was helped off after his arm was stepped on in the first half, threw two of his three TD passes to Derrick Mason as Tennessee kept its postseason hopes alive for another week with a victory Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. "I've always been a big Steve McNair fan, but this was something else," said Titans guard Bruce Matthews. "I don't think anybody thought he was coming back. You can't count that guy out."
BRENT ALEXANDER
6-1, 255, FS, Pittsburgh Steelers (7th year, TENNESSEE STATE)
Four tackles, two assists and two interceptions in win 21-16 win over Minnesota. Both picks were of passes by back-up quarterback Todd Bouman, who otherwise completed 11 of 15 passes for 200 yards while leading the Vikings on a late-game comeback. Alexander is tied for the team lead with Chad Scott with four interceptions.
