OFFENSE
Maurice (Mo) Smith

#43 - Atlanta Falcons, 6-0, 235 (2nd year, North Carolina A&T)
Subbing for the injured Jamal Anderson, Smith came off the bench to rush for 80 yards on 21 carries and score two fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Falcons defeated Chicago, 34-14. Smith had a one-yard run for a score followed by a swing pass that he turned into a 79-yard TD run. On the day he had two catches for 108 yards. "You never know when you're going to have somebody go down," Atlanta coach Dan Reeves said. "Today we lost a great player in Jamal, and Maurice stepped in and did a great job."

DEFENSE
MICHAEL STRAHAN

#92 - New York Giants, 6-5, 275 (9th year, Texas Southern)
Going up against all-pro tackle Kyle Turley, Strahan posted three sacks for 26 yards in losses in leading the Giants to a 21-13 win over New Orleans in front of a home crown at Giants Stadium. In total, Strahan had seven solo tackles and forced two fumbles. "Today we came home and stood behind those firefighters and police officers, and you have Tony Bennett and the Harlem Boys choir," Strahan said. "That's a pick-me-up. We had to win for everybody who came out."
