SIAC HONORS: Morehouse sophomore backcourt star Darius Wade was named men's player of the year and fellow sophomore Martina McCloud of Tuskegee won the women's award as the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) named their all-conference teams and postseason award winners last week. Wade, a 6-1 guard from New York city led the Maroon Tigers to the regular season title while leading the league in scoring (21.7 ppg.), assists (5.1 apg.) and steals (3.3 spg.). McCloud, a point guard from Milwaukee, averaged 12.4 points, 6.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds for the Lady Golden Tigers. Grady Brewer, who led Morehouse to the men's regular season title in just his first season at the helm, was named men's coach of the year while Paine College head coach Selena Bynum won the women's award.
