MEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Rodney Callwood, 6-6, Sr., F, SHAW - Had career-high 38 points and 10 rebounds vs. Bowie State and 22 points vs. Livingstone. Was 21 of 37 from the field and 18 of 22 from the line.
ROOKIE
Nick Chamblee, 6-0, Fr., G, SAC - Averaged 10 points and 4 assists in two games.
NEWCOMER
Travis Hyman, 6-11, So., C, BSU - Got 13 blocks vs. ECSU. Averaged 11 points, 8 blocks and 7 rebounds in 2 games while shooting 50% (9 of 18) from the field.
COACH
Lonnie Blow, St. Augustine's - Led team to 2-0 week including a win over JC Smith. Ranked 8th in Atlantic Region.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Reggie Holmes, 6-4, Sr., G, MSU - Had 25 points in win over UMES and 19 in win over Norfolk State. Also had 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 assists.
ROOKIE
DeWayne Jackson, 6-8, Fr., F, MSU - Averaged 14 points and 4.5 rebounds in two wins, getting 18 points vs. NSU and 14 vs. UMES.
DEFENSE
MIchael Freeman, 6-8, Sr., F, HAMPTON - Back-to-back double-doubles of 17 points, 10 rebounds vs. FAMU and 13 points, 10 rebounds vs. DelState while Pirates had 1-1 week.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Rodney Chatman, LANE - Tallied team-high 15 points in 69-65 win over Tuskegee. The Dragons defeated Claflin, Stillman and Tuskegee to move into tie for second place with Tuskegee behind Clark Atlanta. Lane has won five straight games.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Garrison Johnson, 6-5, Sr., G, JSU - Averaged 23.5 points in two wins that propelled Tigers to first place in the league. Tallied team- and career-high 30 points on 11of 20 shooting, including 6 of 12 3-pointers in win over Miss. Valley State. Tied for team-high of 17 points in win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff that propelled JSU past Texas Southern into first place.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Jason Emerson, 6-1, Sr., G, WVSU - Led Jackets with 25 points in come-from-behind win over Concord. Canned 7 of 15 3-pointers in the win. Got just six in win over Bluefield State.
Tyrone Smith, CHEYNEY - Averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in three Wolves' wins, getting 13 points, 9 boards vs. Millersville, 12 points, 6 rebounds vs. Shippensburg and 18 points, 7 rebounds vs. Lincoln.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Brittany Wright, Jr., F, LC - Had 22 points, 9 boards vs. Va. Union, 13 points, 5 boards vs. Shaw.
NEWCOMER
Ariel Brown, 5-8, Jr., G, SAC - Averaged 8.5 points and shot 50% from the floor in two games.
COACH
Donna Polk, BSU - Won seven of eight beating Shaw and ECSU this week.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE
Quanneisha Perry, 5-10, Jr., F, HAMPTON - Averaged a double-double of 17.5 points and 16 rebounds in two conference victories. She had 19 points and 19 rebounds vs. FAMU, 16 points, 13 rebounds vs. DelState.
ROOKIE
Saadia Doyle, 5-11, Fr., F, HOWARD - Averaged 21 points, 12 rebounds in two games, 10 points, 14 rebounds and 2 steals vs. B-CU, career-high 32 points, 10 rebounds vs. UMES.
DEFENSE
Kritina Rosario, 6-2, Sr., C/F, MSU - 23 rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals in 2-0 week.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Bianca Thornton, 5-7, Fr., G, FVSU - Led Lady Cats in scoring In two wins getting 15 in win over Lemoyne Owen and 13 in win over Clark Atlanta.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Latara Darrett, 5-10, Jr., G, PV A&M - Averaged double-double of 24.5 points and 12.5 rebounds as Lady Panthers split two games, beating Alabama State and losing their first conference game to Alabama A&M. Had game-highs of 23 points and 16 rebounds in win over Alabama State. Shot 8 for 14 from the field, 3 of 4 from behind the arc and 4 of 6 from the FT line. Came back to get team-high 26 points and 9 rebounds in loss to A&M.
Katrich Williams, ALABAMA A&M - Averaged 23.0 points as Lady Bulldogs split two games. Threw in game-high 30 points in upset win over Prairie View and added 16 in loss to Texas Southern.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Jasmine Grant, XAVIER - Scored 13 of her team-high 15 points in first half of win over Belhaven. Had 3 3-pointers in the first half.
