CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Jerry Hollis, 6-5, Sr., F, JCSU - Had career-high 32 points, 19 rebounds vs. Lincoln en route to averaging 23 points in two games. Shot 18 of 25 in two games.
ROOKIE
Angelo Sharpless, 6-4, Fr., G, ECSU - Averaged 10.5 points, 6-5 rebounds in two games.
NEWCOMER
Paul Goldsmith, 6-6, So., F, ECSU - Double-doubles of 19 points, 19 rebounds vs. Livingstone and 13 points, 11 boards vs. Shaw.
COACH
Darrell Brooks, BSU - Three wins (FSU, Shepherd, LC) in week to improve to 9-4 overall, 7-2 in CIAA

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Calvin Thompson, 6-3, So., G, HOWARD - Averaged 24 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two games getting career-high 33 points in win over NC A&T and double-double of 15 points, 12 rebounds in win over Coppin State. Added 24 more Monday in win over Norfolk State.
ROOKIE
Dadrian Collins, 6-5, Fr., F, HOWARD - Averaged 16.5 points, 4 rebounds, 2.5 assists in two wins.
DeWayne Jackson, 6-8, Fr., F, MSU - Averaged 14.5 points, 6 rebounds, 1.5 steals in two wins.
DEFENSE
Kevin Thompson, 6-8, So., F, MSU - Averaged 14.5 boards, 12.5 points in two wins.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Lajay Sears, 6-5, Jr., G, STILLMAN - In two games, averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals leading Tigers to a 1-1 week. In his best game, Sears scored 33 points and pulled down 6 rebounds in win over Lemoyne-Owen.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Deandre Hall, 6-6, Sr., G, TSU - Averaged 13.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in two key wins for the Tigers. Had 12 points, 9 rebounds in win over Jackson State and 15 points, 10 rebounds in win over Grambling State.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Anthony Passley, 6-4, Jr., F, CENTRAL STATE - Led Marauders with 19 points and 10 rebounds in win over Ohio Dominican.
Darren Jones, 5-9. Sr., G, WVSU - Averaged 24 points in two wins getting 20 Thursday in win over Wheeling and 28 Monday in win over Charleston. WVIAC win streak now at 25.
Ronnie Weston, 6-0, G, EWC - Scored 27 points, hitting 5-of-5 3-pointers, in win over Johnson & Wales.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Keyona Bryant, Sr., F, SAC - Averaged 21.5 points and 9 rebounds in two games including 22 points in win over nationally-ranked VSU.
ROOKIE
Talaya Lynch, Fr., G, CHOWAN - Got 16 points, 5 rebounds in win over Lincoln.
NEWCOMER
Kenyatta Gill, Jr., F, ECSU - Averaged 18 points in two wins including career-high 22 vs. Shaw
COACH
Margaret Richards, ST. AUG'S - Led Lady Falcons to 2-0 week, including upset of Virginia State.

OFFENSE
Jaleesa Sams, Jr., F, NC A&T - Averaged a double-double of 21 points and 10.5 rebounds in two conference wins.
ROOKIE
Breanna Jones, Fr., F, HAMPTON - Totalled 17 points and 24 boards in two wins.
DEFENSE
Qiana Donald, So., G/F, FAMU - Had 24 rebounds, 5 blocks, 2 steals in two games.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Takesha Riggs,5-7, Sr., G, FVSU - Averaged 14 points, 5.3 assists and 2.6 steals in leading Lady Wildcats to 3-0 week. FVSU is now 15-0.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Candice Thomas, 5-9, Sr., G, PRAIRIE VIEW A&M - Averaged 19.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in two wins to keep Lady Panthers undefeated in league play. Scored game-high 16 points and had 4 rebounds in win over Grambling State, also had 23 points and 3 rebounds in win over Jackson State.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Quenita Washington, LINCOLN (MO) - Averaged 18 points in two wins. Scored game-high 26 points, making 3 of 7 3s, in win over Arkansas-Fort Smith. Also had 10 points, 6 boards in win over Harris-Stowe.
