MEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Raheem Smith, 6-2, Jr., G, SHAW - Averaged 16.5 points in two games. Had 20 points, 4 assists and 4 steals in win over VSU. Had 13 points in OT loss to BSU.
ROOKIE
Angelo Sharpless, 6-4, Fr., G, ECSU - In two games, averaged a double-double, 14 points and 10 rebounds. Against JCSU, led Vikings with 18 points.
NEWCOMER
Paul Goldsmith, 6-6, So., F, ECSU - Had 14 points, 2 blocks and steals in win over JCSU.
COACH
Jim Tribbett, Chowan - Led team to 2-0 week with wins over ECSU and BSU.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
C. J. Reed, 6-3, So., G, B-CU - Averaged 17 points, 6 assists and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 50% from the field (15 of 30) in two wins. Had 18 points, 9 boards, 6 assists in win over Long Island. Got 16 points, 6 assists, 2 boards in win over NSU. Hit winning basket Monday vs. NC A&T.
ROOKIE
Mike Phillips, 6-7, Fr., F, HOWARD - Averaged 12 points and 5 rebounds in 1-1 week. Had 13 points vs. Navy, 11 points, 7 boards in loss to Morgan State. Shot 73% (8-11) from 3-point range.
DEFENSE
Kevin Thompson, 6-8, So., F, MSU - Had 21 rebounds in two outings, 12 vs. Baylor, 9 vs. Howard.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Jourdain Blackmon, 6-1, Sr., G, CAU - Got 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in Monday's win over Miles.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Garrison Johnson, 6-5, Sr., G, JSU - Averaged 22.5 points per game in wins over Alabama State and Southern. Against ASU, he tallied a game-high 29 points including hitting 14 of 16 FTs. Came back to get 16 in win over SU Monday canning 8 of 11 FTs.
Darnell Hugee, 6-7, Sr., F, PV A&M - Had double-double of 23 points and 16 boards in win over Alcorn State. Also had 16 points and 4 rebounds in key win over TSU. Averaged 19.5 points and 10 rebounds in two games.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Darren Jones, 5-9, Jr., G, WVSU - Averaged 21.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists in three games. Had 30 points and 9 assists vs. Wheeling Jesuit and 19 points and 10 rebounds vs. Seton Hill. Hit 12 of 16 3s for the week and shot .613 from the field.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Keyona Bryant, Sr., F, SAC - Had career-high 41 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in win over VUU. Also had 15 points, 7 rebounds in another game.
ROOKIE
Kelcyn Manurs, Fr., F, LC - Got 17 points in win over St. Paul's including big 3-pointer late. Had 28 points in two games.
NEWCOMER
Kenyatta Gill, Jr., F, ECSU - Averaged 11.5 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in two games.
COACH
Jacques Curtis, Shaw - Led Lady Bears to two wins over Bowie State and Virginia State. Loss was first conference defeat for VSU.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE
Jalisa Isaac, Jr., G, B-CU - Career-high 26 points shooting 9-of-14 in win over Norfolk State. Canned 3 of 5 3-pointers with 6 rebounds, 1 assist, block and steal.
ROOKIE
Leola Spotwood, Fr., F, COPPIN STATE - Had career-high 18 points and 8 boards in win over Hampton. Was 6 of 12 from the field and hit 4 of 8 from distance.
DEFENSE
Demetria Frank, Jr., G, B-CU - Had career-best 9 steals with 2 rebounds and 3 blocks in win over NSU. Also had 14 points and 3 assists.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Kendra Evans, Soph., F, FVSU - Led team with 12 points and 10 rebounds in win over Albany State. Evans also had 1 block and 4 steals.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Katrich Williams, 5-8, Sr., G, AA&M - Averaged 19.5 points per game as she led Lady Bulldogs with 12 points in win over Grambling and tossed in 27 in win over MVSU.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
Oby Okafor, 5-9, Sr., F, TENN. STATE - In 2-1 week, led TSU in scoring and averaged a double-double. She led the team with 12 points versus Morehead State. She followed that up with 18 points and 14 rebounds against Murray State and ended the week with 12 points and 12 boards in the UT Martin game.
