CHAMPIONSHIP GAME MVPs
FAYETTEVILLE STATE Benjamin Williams, Jr., QB - Came off the bench to lead Broncos to two second-half scores, completing 6 of 14 passes for 87 yards and 1 TD.
BOWIE STATE Delano Johnson, So., LB - Had nine tackles to lead Bowie State.

OFFENSE C. J. Westler, Jr., QB, CHOWAN - Led CIAA in passing (285.6 ypg.), and tot. off. (309.6 ypg.)
DEFENSE Quintez Smith, Sr., DB, SHAW - Led CIAA and Div. II with 9 ints, 4 returned for TDs.
SPECIAL TEAMS Austin Turner, So., PK, FSU - Made 34 of 37 PATs, 17 of 29 field goals for 85 total points.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE DeAngelo Branche, Jr., RB, NSU - Rushed for season-high 145 yards on 19 carries and 1 TD, also caught 1 pass for 16 yards and a TD vs. Morgan State.
DEFENSE Jerome Strums, Sr., DB, DSU - Returned a fumble 21 yards for a TD, also had an interception and 1 solo tackle vs. WSSU.
ROOKIE Lewis Kindle, Fr., QB, NC A&T - 16 of 30 for 206 yards and 2 TDs in first start vs. FAMU. Also had 11 carries for 54 yards and a TD.
SPECIAL TEAMS LeRoy Vann, Sr., DB/KR, FAMU - 4 punt returns for 81 yards including 51-yarder for a TD, his fifth of the season tying FCS record.
LINEMAN Mike Maloney, Sr., T, DSU - 98% grade, 11 pancakes vs. WSSU.

OFFENSE Nathaniel Samas, Sr., QB, FVSU - 16 of 26 for 281 passing yards and 2 TDs in win over Albany State. Pat Riley, Sr., QB, BC - Rushed for 148 yards and a TD, threw for 3 TDs and 175 passing yards in win over CAU.
DEFENSE Dajuan Williams, So., DB, FVSU - 3 interceptions, 2 break-ups, 4 tackles vs. Albany St. Jonathan Hall, Sr., LB, TU - 12 tackles, 7 solos, 2.5 for losses vs. Stillman.
NEWCOMER David Carter, Fr., RB, MHC - 27 carries for 130 yards, 2 TDs vs. Miles.
SPECIAL TEAMS Marquette King, So., P, FVSU - Averaged 42.7 yards on 9 punts.

SPECIAL TEAMS Mareo Howard, So., KR/RB, UAPB - Averaged 55.5 yards on 2 kickoff returns, including a 95-yard TD return to open the second half.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE Kevin O'Brien, Sr., QB, WVSU - Completed 8 of 10 passes for 107 yards and caught his first TD pass from WR Jermain King (10 yards) in win over Fairmont State. Michael Johnson, So., QB, NCCU - Completed 26 of 42 passes for 249 yards and 2 TDs vs. Old Dominion.
DEFENSE Pierre Chatman, Jr., DE, WVSU - Returned an interception 17 yards for TD vs. Fairmont State. Also had 2 solo tackles and an assist.
SPECIAL TEAMS Frankie Cardelle, PK, NCCU - Was good on 4 PATs vs. ODU.
