MEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
HAYWARD FAIN, So., F, SAC, Akron, OH - Averaged a double-double, scoring 35 points (11.7 ppg.) and gathering 33 rebounds (8.0 rpg.) in three games including a 15-point, 15-rebound effort in a win over Virginia State.
ROOKIE
HARVEY MILLS, Fr., G, VSU, Richmond, VA - Had a career-high 20 points vs. St. Aug's, and averaged 10.3 ppg. thru three games.
COACH
WILLARD COKER, VUU - Has Panthers on 13-game win streak dating back to Dec. 6 and on top of East Divsion.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
JASON JOHNSON, Sr., C/F, SCSU, Bronx, NY - Led Bulldogs to 2-0 week with 15-point, 13-rebound averages, added 5 blocks, 3 steals and 2 assists.
ROOKIE
MICHAEL HARPER, Fr., G, CSU, Milwaukee, WI - Helped Eagles to 2-0 mark getting 21 points vs. DelState and 16 vs. Howard.
DEFENSE
BRANDON MONROE, Jr., F, NSU, Raeford,NC - Grabbed game-high 17 rebounds vs. WSSU, added 2 blocks. Got 23 rebounds and 3 blocks in two games.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
GREG LOTT, So., F, LANE, Hempstead, NY - Averaged 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals in wins over Tuskegee and Stillman. His best game was 19 points, 5 boards vs. Tuskegee.
RASUL BULUU, Sr., F, LOC, Memphis, TN - Averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists in wins over FVSU, KSU and loss to ASU. His best was 20 points, 13 boards vs. FVSU.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
DARRION GRIFFIN, Sr., G, JSU, Toledo, OH - Tallied 18 points each in big wins over UAPB and MVSU. Added 12 boards for a double-double vs. MVSU and 5 rebounds vs. UAPB.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
DARREN JONES, Jr., G, WVSU, Cleveland, OH -
Jones averaged 21.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game in three State victories. He also hit on 19 of 31 field goal tries. He had 24 points vs. Charleston, 26 vs. Glenville State and 8 points, 5 assists vs. Bluefield State.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
TATIANA ELLIS, Jr., G, SPC, Harlem, NY - Conference scoring leadier threw in 76 points (25.3 ppg.) in three games. Got 27 in win over JCSU and 26 in win over VSU.
ROOKIE
KEYONA BRYANT, Fr., C, SAC, Springdale, MD - League's No. 2 scorer tallied 55 points (18.3 ppg.) and pulled down 25 rebounds in three games. Came thru with 22 points and 10 boards vs. BSU.
COACH
SERENA KING-COLEMAN, SPC - Had 2-1 week, knocking off JCSU and VSU.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
APRIL McBRIDE, Jr., G/F, UMES, New Rochelle, NY - Averaged 25.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in extending UMES win streak to five. Shot 58% (17-of-29) from the floor, 88% (16-of-18) from the FT line. Had 29 pts., 11 rebs., in win over MSU.
ROOKIE
SONIA JOHNSON, Fr., F, DSU, Newport News, VA - Averaged 13.5 points and 6 rebounds in two wins.
DEFENSE
TAMAYA DANIELS, Sr., C, HOWARD, Syracuse, NY - 15 rebound total and 6 blocks in two games.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
SHANTRELL MOSS, Sr., G, CAU, Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Averaged 30.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals in Lady Panthers win over Claflin and loss to FVSU. Her best was 32 points, 8 rebounds vs. Claflin.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
ERLEXIS Cooper, JSU -
Had back-to-back 20-point games getting 20 and 11 rebounds in the Lady Tigers first SWAC win of the season vs. MVSU and getting 25 points and 9 boards in a close loss to UAPB. Averaged a double-double for the week at 22.5 points and 10 rebounds.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
LILLIAN McGILL, So., F/C, UDC, Sumter, SC - Knocked down 14 points and had team-high nine boards in win over Columbia Union and 13 points and 8 rebounds in win over Cheyney. Averaged 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds over the two wins for the 15th-ranked Firebirds.
