CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
RYAN SCOTT, Sr., G, JCSU, Reston, VA - Averaged 26 points in two games, getting 29 in a win over St. Augustine's and 23 in another win.
COACH
WILLARD COKER, VUU - Had 3-0 week win wins over Virginia State, Bowie State and Elizabeth City State.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
NEAL PITT, Jr., F, UMES, Washington, MD - Averaged 23 points and 7.5 rebounds in 2-0 week. Was 11 of 16 for 25 points and had 5 boards in win over NCCU, added 21 points, 10 boards vs. FAMU.
ROOKIE
KYLE O'QUINN, Fr., F, NSU, Jamaica, NY - Had career high 21 points, 17 in second half as Spartans won third straight game. Had 4 3-pointers in the win.
DEFENSE
BRANDON MONROE, Jr., F, NSU, Raeford,NC - Had team and game-high 11 rebounds in win over SCSU. Also had four steals.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
MARTINEZ WOODY, Sr., C, BENEDICT, Greenville, SC - Averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 assists and 3 blocks in wins over Miles and LeMoyne-Owen. His best performance was 18 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks vs. L-O on Jan. 22.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
TROY JACKSON, 6-3, Jr., G, ALCORN STATE, Mobile, AL - League's scoring leader (21.5 ppg.) totalled 46 points as the Braves split two games over the weekend. He threw in 25 as the Braves upset first-place Alabama State on the road Monday after tallying 21 in a road loss to Alabama A&M Saturday.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
REGINALD HARWELL, Sr., G, CSU, Cleveland, OH -Had game-high 23 points in win over Kentucky State and had 14 in win over Knoxville.
JABYRON WILSON, 6-8, Sr., C, LINCOLN (PA), Lake City, SC - The Eliz. City State transfer had 13 points and a game-high 17 rebounds in upset win over JC Smith. Also had 2 blocks and 2 steals. Had 11 points, 5 boards in loss to St. Augustine's.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
TATIANA ELLIS, Jr., G, SPC, Harlem, NY - Tallied 71 points in three games (23.6 ppg.) including 37 in a win over Shaw. Led Lady Tigers to 2-1 week.
ROOKIE
KEYONA BRYANT, Fr., C, SAC, Springdale, MD - Won award for sixth time after throwing in 53 points in two games shooting 23 of 26 (88.4%) from the field. Also averaged 6 rebounds per game. Had 27 in loss to JC Smith, 26 in win over Lincoln.

ERIC TUCKER, FSU - Has Lady Broncos on five-game win streak.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

JENNIFER MARTIN, Sr., G, CSU, Forestville, MD - Hit game winning FTs vs. Hampton while scoring 17 points and pulling in 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
ROOKIE
SHONTAVIOUS WYLIE, Fr., G/F, SCSU, Rock Hill, SC - Had 24 points, 10 rebounds in first conference win over Norfolk State.
DEFENSE
KRISTIN JOHNSON, Sr., G/F, SCSU, Stone Mtn., GA - 7 blocks, 6 rebounds and 2 steals in first MEAC win vs. NSU.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
SHEKIYA TARPKINS, Jr., G, FVSU, Social Circle, GA - Averaged 16.5 points, 7 steals and 5 assists in wins over KSU and Lane. Her best game was a 22-point, 10-rebound, 7-steal, 5-assist performance vs. Lane on Jan. 22.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
GAATI WEREMA, So., F, PRAIRIE VIEW - Scored 18 points in Saturday's win over MVSU and had game-high 26 points as Lady Panthers made up a 17-point second-half deficit Monday to defeate UAPB in OT.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
KENDRA APPLING, TSU - Averaged 22.5 points as Lady Tigers stayed undefeated at home with wins over Jacksonville State (65-50) and Tenn. Tech (79-75). Knocked down 25 points in win over JSU. Also had 4 assists and 7 steals on the week.
