MEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
DARSHAWN JOHNSON, Sr., G, FSU, Brooklyn, NY - Scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in win over Lincoln.
COACH
LONNNIE BLOW, JR., SAC - Got sixth straight win in 69-60 win over Shaw, their seventh straight win over the Bears.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
C. J. REED, Fr., G, BCU, Daytona Beach, FL - Averaged 18.5 points in two non-conference games. Vs. Savannah State, Reed had 14 points, 3 rebounds and 4 steals. Vs. The Citadel, he had 23 poins, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.
ROOKIE
CHRIS McHENRY, Fr., G, HOWARD, Milwaukee, WI - Had 54 points in four games including season-high 29 vs. Wyoming and 18 vs. LaSalle. Was 13-for-13 from the FT line during the stretch.
DEFENSE
BRANDON MONROE, Jr., F, NSU, Raeford, NC - Had career high 13 boards and 13 points in win vs. Lethbridge.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
LEON McKINNEY, Sr., G, MILES, Birmingham, AL - Averaged 20.5 points, 11.5 rebouncs and 2.0 assists as the Golden Bears upset Claflin before losing in double OT to Paine. His best performance was 23 points and 14 rebounds vs. Paine.

GREG LOTT, So., F, LANE, Hempstead, NY - Scored 22 points and grabbed 7 boards as the Dragons topped Kentucky State.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
CHIEF KICKINGSTALLIONSIMS, 7-1, Sr., C, ALABAMA ST., Boynton Beach, FL - Had 23 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in Monday's win over Grambling and 12 points, 6 rebounds and 1 block in win over Jackson State Saturday.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
TED SCOTT, 6-2, Sr., G, WVSU, Columbus, OH - Threw in 31 points as Yellow Jackets beat Bowie State of the CIAA, 69-66. Scott shot 10 of 16 from the field, 3 of 7 from behind the arc and 8 of 9 at the charity stripe.
JERRELL HOUSTON, TSU - Had his fourth double-double of the season, 14 points and 12 rebounds, in Monday's win over Morehead State, the Tigers third OVC win in a row. TSU now tied for OVC lead at 3-1.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
TATIANA ELLIS, Jr., G, SPC, Harlem, NY - Scored 27 points and had four rebounds in win over L-R. Added two steals.
ROOKIE
KEYONA BRYANT, Fr., C, SAC, Springdale, MD - Had 22 points, 8 boards in win over Pfeiffer. Shot 8-of-13 from the field, 6-of-12 from the FT line.
COACH
MARGARET RICHARDS, SAC - Led Lady Falcons to 88-86 win over Pfeiffer

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
WHITNEY CUNNINGHAM, Sr., C, CSU, Baltimore - In two games, averaged 15 points and 18.5 rebounds in 1-1 week. Had 16 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks in loss to Morgan State and 14 points and season-high 24 boards in the team's first win of the season.
ROOKIE
AMBER COOK, Fr., G, UMES, Greensboro, NC - Had four rebounds, two assists vs. Morgan State.
DEFENSE
APRIL McBRIDE, Jr., F, UMES, New Rochelle, NY - Averaged 12 points, 3 steals and 1.5 blocks in 1-1 week.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
SADE ODUTOLA, Sr., F, MILES, Stockbridge, GA - Averaged 13.5 points, 14 rebounds and 3.5 steals as Lady Bears split two games vs. Claflin and Paine. Her best game was an 18-point, 14-rebound performance vs. Paine on New Year's Day.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
L'Teisha Holloway, ALABAMA STATE - Scored 16 points and pulled down 8 rebounds as the Lady Hornets knocked off Jackson State 60-45 on Monday night. ASU also beat Grambling State Monday to move to 2-0 in SWAC play, tied atop the conference with Southern and Alabama A&M.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
ANGEL STEVENS, Jr., F, CHEYNEY, Bensalem, PA - Averaged a double-double, 15.5 points and 11.5 rebounds, in two wins. She has 16 points and 14 rebounds vs. Slippery Rock and 15 points, 9 boards vs. Mercy hurst.
TIFFANY JACKSON, 6-0, Sr., F, TSU, Houston - Tallied team-high 22 points in conference win over Morehead State.
