MEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
ANTHONY HILLIARD, Jr., G, ECSU, Fayetteville, NC - Averaged 24.5 point, 11 rebounds in two games with 8 assists, 4 steals and two blocks. Tallied 30 points with 12 boards in win over St. Aug's and had 19 points, 10 rebounds vs. UDC.
ROOKIE
HAYWARD FAIN, 6-4, Fr., F, SAC, Akron, OH - Averaged 8.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in three games.
COACH
SHAWN WALKER, ECSU - His Vikes have now won 12 straight games including avenging losses this week with wins over St. Aug's and UDC. They are 11-0 at home this season and currently ranked 6th in the NCAA Div. II South Atlantic Region.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
ED TYSON, 6-2, Jr., G, UMES, Baltimore, MD - Averaged 27 points and 3 rebounds as Hawks finished 1-1 week. Connected on 54% of his shots including 71% from behind the arc. Had 30 points in loss to A&T and 24 in win over Hampton.
ROOKIE
BRANDON MONROE, 6-7, Jr., F, NSU, Raeford, NC - Averaged 10 points, 7.5 rebounds in 2-0 week. Against FAMU, had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
DEFENSE
BOUBACAR COLY, 6-9, Sr., C, MSU, Senegal - 14 rebounds, 4 blocks vs. FAMU, 13 rebounds vs. SC State.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
MARTINEZ WOODY, 6-7, Jr., F/C, BENEDICT, Greenville, SC - Averaged 10 ppg., 11 rpg., and 5.6 blocks in wins over Paine, Tuskegee and Stillman. In his top game, he scored 12 points with 14 rebounds and seven blocks vs. Paine.
Other Notable Performances
LEON McKINNEY, MILES - Averaged 20.5 points, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in two games.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
AARON SMITH, 6-3, Sr., G, PV A&M, Mansfield, TX - Scored career-high 25 points in Saturday's win over Jackson State and then set new high with 30 points in win over Grambling State Monday. Was 4 of 10 from 3-point range vs. JSU and then hit 6 of 12, also a career high, from behind-the-arc vs. GSU. Had six assists, just one turnover and shot 15 of 16 (93.7%) from the line in the two games.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
GERALD ROBINSON, TENN. STATE - Came off the bench to lead the Tigers with 17 points as they stopped Austin Peay from winning the outright OVC title with a 73-69 win. He added eight rebounds. The win keeps TSU within the first eight spots in the OVC needed to make the conference tournament.
ED BRASWELL, 6-0, Sr., G, CHEYNEY, - Led Wolves to 2-1 week with game-highs in all three contests. Had 17 points vs. E. Stroudsburg, 21 vs. Mansfield and UDC. Made 14 of 25 from behind the arc while collecting 15 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
KATRINA WRIGHT, 5-8, Sr., G, SPC, Wichita, KS - Tallied 54 points (18.0 ppg.) in three games including a 20-point outing vs. Livingstone. .
ROOKIE
ALLISON SIKES, 5-11, Fr., G/F, SAC, Richmond, VA - Averaged 15.6 points, 8-7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in three games includng a 20-point outing vs. FSU. Shot 50% (18 of 36) from the field.
COACH
DOUG ROBERTSON, BSU - His Lady Bulldogs went 2-1 for the week.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
TA'WUANA COOK, 5-8, So., G, NC A&T, Fayetteville, NC - Averaged 20.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3 steals in two games. Got a career-high 28 points with five assists and two blocks vs. UMES.
ROOKIE
THERESA DAVIS, 5-10, Fr., F, MSU, St. Louis, MO - In 3-0 week, shot 62% from the floor while getting 25 points and 33 rebounds.
DEFENSE
CORIN ADAMS, 5-5, So., G, MSU, Brooklyn, NY - Got 14 rebounds and nine steals in three wins. Had six steals vs. SC State.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
KATHLEEN ELAM, 5-6, Fr., G , BENEDICT, Lincolnton, GA - Averaged 13.3 ppg., 7 rpg., 1.3 spat in three games while team went 2-1.

MATTIE JONES, 6-3, Jr., C, KSU, Long Island, NY - Averaged 15 ppg., 11.5 rpg., and 3.5 bpg. in two games.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
ERICA TRAHAN, 5-10, Jr., F, JSU, Baton Rouge, LA - Registered game-highs of 21 points and 11 rebounds as the Lady Tigers went to Prairie View and handed the Lady Panthers their first conference loss Saturday, 70-60 in overtime. Came back to score 17 points and get four boards in 51-48 win over Texas Southern. Shot 16 of 31 (51.5%) in the two games.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
JARRYN CLEAVES, 5-8, Sr., G, XAVIER, Memphis, TN - Scored 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds in win over Tougaloo.
