What's Going On In and Around Black College Sports

De'Audra Dix of Johnson C. Smith and defensive linemen
Alex Hall of St. Augustine's and
Curtis Johnson of Clark Atlanta were named to the
D2 Football.com All-America first team announced
last week. Defensive tackle Louis Ellis
of Shaw, the CIAA defensive player of the
year, was named to the second team. Dix topped the
black college charts and finished fourth nationally (31.2
ypr.) in kickoff returns. Johnson led the nation with 1.2
sacks per game, 13.5 overall in 11 games. Hall posted seven sacks and 15 tackles for loss
in nine games. Clark Atlanta punter Brandon
Larkin, the top black college punter rated third nationally (43.6
avg.) amongst D2 punters, received honorable mention.
