HOW THEY DID IT - Game Summaries_ No. 1 Delaware State 28, Norfolk State 21, OT Delaware State came from back from a 21-3 fourth quarter deficit, scoring on Peter Gaertner's 28-yard field goal as time expired to force overtime and then won the game on Eric Sewell's 2-yard pass reception from QB Vashon Winton in the extra period. The win gives the Hornets (9-1, 8-0) the MEAC title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA FCS playoffs. Winton completed 28 of 45 passes for 245 yards including a 6-yard TD pass to WR Shaheer McBride that started the comeback with 8:09 left. Adam Shrewsbury then capped off a three-play, 65-yard drive on a two-yard run with 3:18 left and then added a two-point conversion on a short run. NSU (7-3, 6-2) had scored twice in the first quarter on Jamar Johnson's 5-yard reception from Casey Hansen and Darryl Jones' 16-yard TD gallop. Jones (24 carries, 108 yds., ) added a 19-yard scoring run in the third quarter. _ Prairie View 30, No. 4 Jackson State 27 Prairie View kept Jackson State from clinching the SWAC East title and a spot in the conference title game behind QB Mark Spivey's four touchdown passes. Spivey (8-19-0, 180 yards) completed first-half TD passes of 16 and 38 yards to Jaymar Johnson and second-half scoring tosses to Joe Townsend of 35 and 64 yards.
