MEAC (Women)
DELAWARE STATE 55, MORGAN State 42

Second-seed Delaware State had three players score in double figures to knock off Morgan State (18-13) and capture its first MEAC Tournament in seven tries, the first in five trips to the final game under seventh-year head coach Ed Davis. Katreem Palmer had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lady Hornets (20-12) who also got 15 points from Tourney MVP Raquel Collier and another 11 from point guard Ashley Burbage. Thea Littlepage snatched down 13 rebounds to lead the DSU on the boards. Morgan State pulled off the Tournament's biggest upset by knocking off two-time defending champion Coppin State in a semifinal game, ending the Lady Eagles 49-game conference win streak. MSU was led in the finals by Ashley Johnson's 17 points.

MEAC (Men)
FLORIDA A&M 58, DELAWARE STATE 56

Florida A&M senior forward Brian Greene scored at the final buzzer off an alley-oop from an out-of-bounds play to give the Rattlers an upset win over top-seed Delaware State. With 1.1 seconds left on the clock, FAMU's Lamar Twitty lobbed a perfect pass from the right sideline to Greene who came off a pick from Joe Ballard to rise over a defender and lay the ball in at the final horn. They were the final points of a 22-point, 13-rebound outing that began when Greene scored FAMU's first 12 points. It also solidified Greene's selection as the Touranment's Most Valuable Player. Ballard came off the bench to scored 12 points for the Rattlers while Darius Glover had 11. DelState's MEAC Player of the Year, senior guard Jahsha Bluntt, struggled in the championship game for the second year in a row, canning just 3 of 13 shots. DSU junior Roy Bright capped a brilliant tournament performance with 23 points in the championship game.

SWAC (Women)
PRAIRIE VIEW A&M 68, JACKSON State 62

Tournament MVP Candice Thomas scored a game-high 26 points and Prairie View withstood a second-half surge by Jackson State to claim its first ever SWAC Tournament title. Trailing 35-27 at the half, JSU opened the second half on a 20-7 run to go up 47-42 on the Lady Panthers. But JSU went cold from the field, missing nine of their next 11 shots while PV built the margin back to 13 points. JSU cut the lead back to single-digits but the Lady Panthers made their free throws to salt away the victory. Two other Lady Panthers, Twila Stokes with 12 and Gaatie Warema with 10 scored in double figures. Werema also had a game-high 17 rebounds. JSU's Carena Easley and Shelita Burns both had 14 points.

SWAC (Men)
JACKSON ST. 81, MISSISSIPPI VALLEY ST. 71

SWAC Player of the Year, Jackson State guard Trey Johnson, scored 33 points and added SWAC Tournament MVP to his credentials as the Tigers ran out to a big lead and then held on to knock off top-seed Mississippi Valley State in the championship game in Birmingham. Johnson had 19 first-half points as the Tigers build a 45-29 halftime lead but watched it melt as MVSU went on a 16-6 run to cut the deficit to 51-45 at the 12:50 mark. MVSU tied the score at 65 but Johnson had seven points in a game-breaking 9-0 run that secured the title for the Tigers. Grant Maxey added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.
