Bluntt returning to Delaware State
Mid Eastern Athletic Conference 2005-06 Basketball Player of the Year, Delaware State swingman Jasha Bluntt, who after the season declared for Wednesday's NBA Draft, decided last week to remove his name from consideration.

The 6-6, 220-pound Los Angeles native led the Hornets to this year's MEAC regular season crown, a berth in the postseason National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and a school-record 21-win season (21-14) as a junior averaging team-highs of 14.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. The Hornets were denied a repeat MEAC tournament championship and return trip to the NCAA tournament after losing to Hampton in the conference tourney finals.

By declaring for the draft, Bluntt had hoped to get tryouts with NBA teams but none materialized. He did not hire an agent and therefore is able to return to school. Bluntt returns to a team that returns all five starters and will be the favorite for the 2006-07 MEAC title.
