ANTONIO FITZGERALD, Jr., G, SAC, Danville, VA - CIAA scoring leader averaged 29.5 pts., 7.5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in wins over UDC and Columbia Union. He had 24 points vs. UDC and 35 pts., 6 rebs., 6 assists vs. CUC
ROOKIE
BRUCE ROYAL, Fr., G, SPC, Newport News, VA - Had 16 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in win over Chowan.
COACH
ED JOYNER, ST. PAUL'S - His much-improved Tigers are 3-1 after win over Chowan.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
ANTONIO WEBB, Sr, G, B-CC, Fairfax, VA - Had season-high 29 points on career-tying 7 three-pointers in 16 attempts in loss to Kansas State. Also had 3 rebounds an assist and a steal.
ROOKIE
ED TYSON, Fr., G, UMES, Baltimore, MD - Had 12 points including 9 of 10 free throws, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in loss to George Washington.

SWAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
OBIE TROTTER, Sr., G, Alabama A&M - Scored 27 points, nearly half the Bulldogs' tally, in a 74-58 loss to Vanderbilt. Trotter had four three-pointers and three steals in the contest.

INDEPENDENT PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BRUCE PRICE, G, Tennessee State - Had 27 points, including 14 of 18 from the free throw line and 3 of 6 from behind the arc, in loss to Southern Mississippi. Had 18 points in win over E. Illinois.
