OFFENSE
JEROME MATHIS, 5-11, 172, WR/KR, Houston (1st year, HAMPTON)
- Seven kickoff returns for 266 yards, a 38.0-yards per-kick average,
including taking one back 99 yards for a first quarter TD. On the TD run, Mathis cut to
the left to evade the first group of defenders before another Chiefs' player dived
and fell to the turn. From there, the former track star who has been timed at 4.28
in the 40, outran everyone to the end zone. He's the only player this season to
return two kickoffs for TDs. Mathis now leads the entire NFL averaging 32 yards
per kickoff return. |

- MAURICE HICKS, 5-11, 200, RB, San Francisco (2nd year, NC A&T) -
In his first extensive action at RB this season, Hicks led 49ers with 11 carries for 83 yards (7.5 yards per
carry) including a 50-yard run and a one-yard TD jaunt in the final minute that brought the
Niners within two-points of Seattle. Also had a four-yard reception and two special teams tackles.
- RANDY HYMES, 6-3, 211, WR, Baltimore (4th year, GRAMBLING STATE) -
Two receptions, one for a one-handed three-yard TD from Kyle Boler, and the other for a key first
down that set up the winning field goald vs. Pittsburgh.
- STEVE McNAIR, 6-2, 230, QB, Tennessee (11th year, ALCORN STATE) -
Hit on 20 of 30 passes for 208 yards and two TDs with one intereception in close loss to Jacksonville.
His first TD pass of the day was the 150th of his career.
- JIMME SMITH, 6-1, 202, WR, Jacksonville (13th year, JACKSON STATE) -
Led Jacksonville with five receptions for 89 yards in win over Tennessee. His 24-yard third
quarter reception moved him into eighth place all time in NFL history with 827 catches.
- DERRICK WIMBUSH, 6-1, 220, RB/KR, Jacksonville (1st year, FORT VALLEY STATE)
- Two KO returns for 24-yard average in win over Tennessee. Also had a special teams tackle
and assist.

Three receptions for 20 yards in loss to Kansas City.
- DONALD DRIVER, 6-0, 190, WR, Green Bay (6th year, ALCORN STATE) -
