Final BCSP Women's Top 10

1. SHAW (32-2) - Jacques Curts's Lady Bears earn the final top spot after dominating and taking their third consecutive CIAA Tournament title, and this time winning their first South Atlantic Region crown only to come up short at the Women's NCAA Div. II Elite Eight.

2. ALCORN STATE (21-9) - Shirley Walker's SWAC regular season and tournament champs finish in a tie for runners-up to the Lady Bears.

TIE. COPPIN STATE (23-8) - Derek Brown's Lady Eagles won both the regular season and tournament crowns to tie as runners-up to Shaw.

4. SOUTHERN (16-14) - Tied for second in SWAC regular season before falling to Alcorn State in tourney final..

5. ALABAMA STATE (15-14) - Tied for second in SWAC regular season, lost in tournament semis to Southern.

TIE GRAMBLING STATE (14-15) - Tied for second in SWAC regular season, lost in tourney semis to Alcorn State

7. FORT VALLEY STATE (22-10) - SIAC regular season runner up loses two OT thriller to Paine in SIAC tournament. Makes it to South Region semifinals.

TIE HAMPTON (14-13) - MEAC regular season runnerup, disappointing quarterfinal loser at tournament.

9. HOWARD (17-12) MEAC Tourney semifinalist
(TIE) FLORIDA A&M (14-16) - MEAC tourney semifinalist
CENTRAL STATE (22-5) - Another excellent season under Patricia Tramble
NORFOLK STATE (12-18) - Lady Spartans finish seventh in MEAC regular season but James Sweat leads them in run to tournament final vs. Coppin State
ELIZABETH CITY STATE (17-12) - Falls to Shaw in CIAA tourney final.
