PLAYER
WILLIAM McNeil, 6-3, Jr., G, LC, Philadelphia, PA - Hit game-tying three to send game vs. NCCU into OT and had four in extra period. FInished with 22. Averaged 20 ppg., in three games including 30 vs. ECSU.
ROOKIE
JOHN KORNEGAY, 5-11, Fr., G, Shaw, Detroit, MI - Averaged 12 ppg., 3.5 rpg., and 1.5 apg, in 1-1 week. Had 11 pts. vs. SPC, 13 vs. BSU.
COACH
JAMES STINSON, LC - Got win on road vs. NCCU, to get sweep over Eagles for season. Had 2-1 week.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
DEMECO HEATH, 6-3, Sr., G, SC State, Kinston, NC - Posted two double-doubles including 26 points and 13 rebounds in win over Coppin State. He had seven of his 26 in OT. Added 16 points and 10 boards in win over Norfolk State. Averaged 21 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists.
ROOKIE
DARRYL ROBERTS, 5-9, Fr., G, Coppin State, District Hgts., MD - Had team-high 14 points, including three three-pointers in win over Delaware State.

SWAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE
HOSEA Butler, 5-10, So., G, MVSU, Columbus, MS - Had 10 points, 7 assists and 3 assists in win over Southern and 26 points, 7 assists and 8 steals in win over Alcorn State. Averaged 18 points, 7 assists and 5.5 steals in the two games.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
TONY CORNETT, 6-5, Soph., F, W. Va. State, Columbus, OH - Got 25 points and seven rebounds in loss to Fairmont State after getting 24 points and 10 rebounds in win over W. Liberty State.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
LAMARIO LATSON, 6-3, So., G, Paine, Jesup, GA - Came off bench to averaged 12.6 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.6 steals as the Lions went undefeated in three games. His stats include 17 rebounds vs. Tuskegee on 2/7.
Other Notable Performances
­ Joseph King, Miles - Averaged 27.5 points with two steals and three blocks in two wins.

WOMEN

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
KIARSHA CURTIS, Sr., G, Shaw, Capital Hgts., MD - Averaged 30 points, five steals, 4.5 rebounds and three assists in two wins. Curtis had 26 vs. Bowie St., including 10-10 FGs and 4-4 FTs, also had 34 vs. St. Paul's incl. seven three-pointers.
ROOKIE
KARLA GAMBLE, Fr., G, NCCU, Albion, MI - Five three-pointers and 17 points vs. Livingstone. Averaged 14.3 pts., in three games.
COACH
ERIC TUCKER, FSU - Took over sole possession of first in West after wins over NCCU and SAC.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
TIFFANI WILLIAMS, 6-7, Sr., C, Hampton, Trinidad & Tobago - Averaged 16 points shooting 56% from the field in two victories. Also averaged 10.5 rebounds recording back-to-back double-doubles. Five blocks tied her career-high vs. NC A&T.
ROOKIE
MONICA ROGERS, 6-1, Fr., F, Hampton, Forsyth, ILL - Recorded a career-high 14 points in win over FAMU going six of six from the field with six rebounds. Had 10 points, nine rebounds vs. NC A&T.

SHIKHIA SIMS, 5-4, Sr., G, Alcorn St., Chicago, IL - Got 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in win over MVSU.

BRITTANY MARION, 5-11, Fr., F, Miles, Lithonia, GA -
In wins over Lane and Kentucky State, Marion averaged 15.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals. She also had three blocks. Her big game was 18 points, 12 rebounds vs. KSU on 2/12.
Other Notable Performances
­ Kenya Jones, Kentucky State - Averaged 23.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 steals in two games.
