CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
JONATHAN MOORE, 6-8, Sr., F, NCCU, Raleigh, NC - Averaged 23.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 steals, 2 assists and one blocked shot in three wins. Totalled 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in big win over Bowie State.
ROOKIE
NARTIN CHAVOUS, 5-11, Fr., G, ECSU, Chapel Hill, NC - Averaged 9.5 points, 2.5 steals and 1.5 assists in two games.
COACH
JAMES STINSON, Livingstone - Improved to 10-4 with wins over St. Paul's and NC Central and three-point loss to Bowie State.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PLAYER
BRIAN MASON, 6-4. Jr., F, SCSU, Dominica, West Indies - Averaged 21 points, 9.5 rebounds shooting 66.7% from field (18-27). Had 19 points and 11 rebounds in loss to Hampton.
ROOKIE
DARRYL PROCTOR, 6-4, Fr., F, Coppin St., District Hgts., MD - Scored career-high 20 points and had 12 rebounds in win over Howard. Averaged 14 ppg., 7.5 rpg., in two games.

INDEPENDENT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
EILEY ERVIN, Fr., G, Tenn. State, Memphis, TN -
Erving came off the bench to score 16 of his career-high 18 points in the second half in TSU's 105-101 double overtime win over SE Missouri. He also had 10 points in a 77-62 win over E. Illinois. He also had 10 assists and five steals in the two games.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
KENYON GAMBLE, 6-11, Sr., C, Albany State, Chicago, IL -
Averaged 10.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 5.0 blocked shots as team split against Miles and LeMoyne-Owen.
Other Notable Performances
­ Joel Bryant, Benedict - Averad 20.5 ppg., 3.5 rpg., 3.0 apg and 1.5 spg. in two wins.
­ Jayson Williams, Lane - Averaged 15.5 ppg., 11.5 rpg., 2.5 apg., and 2.5 spg in two games.

Women

CIAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (As of 12/18)
PLAYER
ALLYSON HARDY, 5-6, Sr., G, BSU, Germantown, MD - In three games, averaged 30 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.3 steals including season-high 36 points vs. Livingstone.
ROOKIE
CELESTE TRAHAN, Fr., C, ECSU, Stockton, CA - Got 29 points, 19 rebounds vs. VSU. Also scored 24 points and had 10 boards in loss to Shaw.
COACH
JACQUES CURTIS, Shaw - WIth three wins, Curtis and Lady Bears improved to 13-1 and are ranked fifth in the nation in NCAA Div. II.

MEAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (As of 12/27)
PLAYER
BRITANNY JAMES, 5-7, Jr., G, Howard, Compton, CA - Averaged 28 points in two wins getting 23 vs. Coppin State and getting HU-record nine threes and career-high 33 points vs. SC State.
ROOKIE
RASHIDA SUBER, So., G, Coppin State, Reading, PA - Averaged 13 ppg., 6.5 rpg., and 2 spg., while shooting 58% (11-19) from the field. Had 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals vs. FAMU, and 11 points, six rebounds and two steals vs. Howard. Third straight week as ROW.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
LAKEISHA CLAY, Sr., F, Tenn. State -
Hit a jumper with 3.5 second left to propell the Lady Tigers to a win over E. Illinois.

SIAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
KOREN MERCHANT, Sr., F, Benedict, Detroit, MI -
In three wins over CAU, N. Greenville and Lane, she averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds, one assist and one steal.
