A Living Legend . . .

A LIVING LEGEND: The entire Grambling State Tigers football team visited legendary former head football coach Eddie Robinson (above c.), who is reportedly suffering from Alzheimers Disease, at his home on the morning of August 10. The team along with the coaching staff made the pilgrimage from the Robinson Stadium Support Facility to Coach Robinson's house which is located near the campus. Head coach Melvin Spears (above l.) thought that it was a much needed experience for the team. "I thought it was a really special day. It was really touching that we had an opportunity to sit there with all of the guys taking pictures with Coach Robinson. The main thing is that when the team sang the Grambling Fight song, believe it or not, Coach Rob led the fight song and did an outstanding job. I think that all of the players got something from it." Pictured with Robinson and Spears is GSU all-American QB Bruce Eugene (above r.).
