AMBER JACKSON, So., Bethune-Cookman - Led conference in seven categgories; batting average (.468), slugging percentage (.819), on base percentage (.557), runs scored (56), hits (83), HRs (11) and total bases (145).
ROOKIE
CHRISTINE GLASCOE, Coppin State - Led Eagles with .336 batting average (4th in MEAC), and is tenth in slugging percentage (.508). Leads MEAC with 7 doubles and is second in triples (3).

NAKELYA MORAGNE, Miss Valley
In two games against conference rival Jackson State, Moragne had seven hits on eight at-bats, with 5 runs scored.
PITCHER
PATRICIA DEL REAL, Alabama State
Del Real pitched two complete games for the week, going 1-1 with a 1.20 ERA.

INDEPENDENT PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JESSICA GODBY, Fr., P, WVSU - Godby did not allow an earned run in wins over Concord, Ohio Valley, and Davis & Elkins. The freshman from Chapmanville racked up 17 strikeouts in 19 innings, while only giving up seven hits. Godby notched a pair of shutouts and allowed an unearned run in Sunday's win over D&E.

JRAN SERRANO, Fr., Norfolk State - Leads the Spartans with 10 doubles and is ninth in the conference with 36 RBIs. Has 3 home runs and 53 hits.
COACH
MERVYL MELENDEZ, Bethune-Cookman - Led B-CC to 14-4 conference mark and topseed in tournament.

Nathan Purvis - Miss. Valley State
Hit for a .636 batting average (7-11) with 2 doubles, 1 home run and 7 RBIs and 12 total bases. His slugging percentage was 1.091.
PITCHER
Jonathan Stovall-Miss. Valley State
Pitched 7.0 innings, striking out 8 and scattering 4 hits to allow just 2 runs. He had a 1.29 ERA for the game.
