Hilton's draft status
Hilton, at 6-5, 267, led all defensive linemen in the MEAC in tackles with 61 despite facing frequent double-teams. He was credited with 19 tackles for losses including 4.5 sacks. He is projected as a second round pick on ESPN.com Insider section possibly going to the Kansas City Chiefs as a rush end. His primary asset is thought to be speed, explosiveness and athleticism though many teams will want him to add weight and strength. Hilton has run a 4.51 40-yard dash time, the fastest time among defensive ends in this year's draft. Speed is one of the primary tools that scouts assess when looking for rush ends. © 2004 Azeez Communications, Inc. |
