Reese, 52, played defensive end for Jackson State and was drafted in 1974 by the Miami Dolphins. As a senior in 1974, he was considered to be one of the top NFL prospects on the Tigers squad, which finished with a 7-3 overall record. The Dolphins used their first pick in the draft (26th overall) to take the defensive lineman from Vigor High School in Mobile. He played from 1974-76 for the Dolphins who captured three AFC Eastern Divisions titles while he was there. He then spent three years with New Orleans before finishing his career in 1981 with San Diego. Recently, Reese was selected along with 11 other Jackson State athletic standouts to be inducted into the JSU Sports Hall of Fame.
