| Damian Woolfolk Repeats As MEAC Player-of-the-YearFebruary 22, 2000GREENSBORO, N.C. - Norfolk State University guard Damian Woolfolk hasbeen selected as the 1999-2000Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Player-of-the-Year as voted on bythe league's eleven head coachesand sports information director's. Woolfolk, a 6'5, senior from RuthersGlen, Virginia, is currently averaging 19points this season, while leading the Spartans to a 10-4 conferencerecord; second only toBethune-Cookman College. Woolfolk was also last season'sPlayer-of-the-Year pick. Joining Woolfolk on the All-MEAC First Team are forwards TarvisWilliams (Hampton, Sr.), Darryl Neal(Norfolk State, Jr.) and Dexter Hall (S.C. State, Jr.). Bethune-Cookmansenior, Freddie Cole was the otherfirst-team guard selected. Coach-of-the-Year honors, for the second straight year, went toBethune-Cookman Head CoachHorace Broadnax. In his third season at BCC, Broadnax has led his teamto a current first place standing of11-3 (12-11 overall). Last season, he improved the Wildcats from lastplace to fifth, that included a trip to thequarterfinal round of the MEAC Tournament. The MEAC All-Rookie First-Team consists of Rookie-of-the-Year selectionAndre Matthews (DelawareState, Fr.), Cleveland Davis (Hampton, Soph.), Jerry Daniels(Bethune-Cookman, Fr.), Jonathan Stokes(Howard, Fr.) and Reggie Winkfield (Morgan State, Fr.).
