"We are pleased to honor these young ladies for their outstanding performance this year," said Onnidan Managing Partner Eric Moore. "Their efforts are sincerely appreciated and we are happy to give them some 'props'."
The team is lead by Player of the Year Valerie Stourdemire of Florida A&M University. Stourdemire finished the season with a .373 batting average and led the Rattlerettes to a MEAC Championship and into NCAA playoffs. Her coach, Veronica Wiggins was selected as Coach of the Year.
Hampton University's Charisse Thompson, an infielder, was selected Rookie of the Year while Prairie View A&M University's Kimberly Thomas was picked Outstanding Rookie Pitcher.
