Brackets for the annual Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Spring Sports Championships have been announced.
The baseball championships kick off Thursday, April 15, at the Paul Eames Sports Complex in Albany, Ga., at 9 a.m. with the LeMoyne Owen Magicians against the Tuskegee University Tigers at 9 a.m. and the Kentucky State University Thorobreds against the Lane College Dragons. The Albany State University Golden Rams, ranked number two in the SIAC, will take on the Miles College Bears at 12:30 p.m. and the Savannah State University Tigers will play the Paine College Lions at 12:30 p.m.
Baseball action continues Friday, April 16, with the first game starting at 9 a.m.
The Track & Field Championships begin at 10 a.m. on the Albany State campus with the men's decathlon, followed by the women's hepthalon at 11 a.m. Field events will start at 4 p.m. with men and women's long jump and shot put.
The Softball Championships have been moved to Highland Park (intersection of Oglethorpe Boulevard and Slappey Drive in Albany, Ga.) for the Thursday games. If possible, the games will be played on the ASU field on Friday. Brackets will be announced later.
Tennis Championship games will be played on the ASU courts. Brackets will be announced later.
