Pirate Mariners Lead Hampton to Career Best Finish
Now Set for MAISA/SAISA Intersectional

March 26, 1999

Hampton, VA… Skipper Byron Gully and Crewman Natasha Crosby sailed to a career best 2nd place finish, giving HU third place in the Salisbury State Open, last weekend. The 35 (A-Division) and 64 (B-Division) posted were the top divisional finishes in school history. Of the seven schools that competed, only Washington College and Georgetown did not sail with their best crews. Kai Perry and Kim Mitchell also performed well finishing in the top four in several races.

Hampton will again be hosting the MAISA/SAISA Intersectional this weekend in the Hampton Roads Harbor. Representing MAISA will be: Hampton, Christopher Newport, Salisbury State, Washington College, Hobart, Georgetown, Navy and Old Dominion. Representing SAISA will be: N.C. State, Florida, South Florida, College of Charleston, Tennessee and Florida Tech.
