| Alcorn State Lady Brave Sport Memorabilia being auctioned online Proceeds to Benefit ASU FoundationNovember 1, 2000CHICAGO --The Maui Invitational and Women's Maui together with Ezbid.com have partnered to offer Alcorn State Lady Braves sports memorabilia online. Alumni and fans alike have the opportunity to support the Lady Braves at the Women's Maui and online at www.ezbid.com/maui by bidding on donated university items. Auctions will run from October 16th to November 30th and provide an opportunity for fans, alumni, and boosters to support Alcorn State athletics while obtaining unique and exclusive items. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Alcorn State University Foundation. Various items are displayed on each university's personalized page allowing fans, collectors, and alumni to browse the selection, register, bid, and buy desired products. Items such as an autographed basketball signed by the 2000-2001 Lady Braves and head coach Shirley Walker, and three player's jerseys from the 1999-2000 season including: #52- forward Cherea Wood, #22- guard Daisha Reed and #11- guard Queriston Haynes are available. Additional items will be added throughout the auction period. Fans and alumni visiting the site will also have the opportunity to register to win a trip for two to the 2000 Maui Invitational, which includes airfare, hotel accommodations, all tournament tickets and on-island hospitality. This year marks the first Women's Maui tournament. The 2000 tournament will pit Alcorn State against perennial basketball powers: Illinois, Tennessee, and Clemson.
