Jamar Ross joins Hampton Sports Information staff

Hampton, VA - The Hampton University athletic department has appointed Jamar Ross to the position of Assistant Sports Information Director.

Ross, a 1999 graduate of Winston-Salem State University, comes to Hampton most recently from Southern Illinois University. There he was an essential part of the 8-sport program, working closely with football, men's and women's basketball, and several Olympic sports.

While a student at Winston-Salem State, Ross gained valuable experience working with the University and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). He has been a volunteer at the CIAA Basketball Tournament since 1997 and also worked at the 2000 NCAA Basketball Tournament.
