Lenoir-Rhyne 82, St. Paul's 60

Hickory, North Carolina - The Saint Paul's College Lady Tigers (3-7 Overall) traveled to Hickory, North Carolina on the last day of 2008 to take on Lenoir-Rhyne Bears (11-1 Overall). With the Lenoir-Rhyne shooting 50-percent from the field, the Bears strengths pushed them to their ninth straight victory as they defeat the Lady Tigers, 82-60.

After taking a 37-26 advantage going into halftime, Lenoir-Rhyne opened the second half with a 15-2 run.

Down by as many as 30 points after the break, the Lady Tigers were held to just 31-percent shooting for the game on 20-of- 64 shots from the field.

Saint Paul's was led by Tatiana Ellis with a game-high 27 points. Gabrielle Johnson respectfully added 12 points, five rebounds and two steals.

The Saint Paul's looks to redeem themselves on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 when they take on the Lady Falcons of Saint Augustines College. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Taylor-Whitehead Gymnasium in Lawrenceville, VA.
