Saint Paul's 72, Virginia Union 52

Lawrenceville, Virginia - The Saint Paul's College Lady Tigers earn their second consecutive CIAA conference win as they cruised past the Lady Panthers of Virginia Union University, 72-52.
With Lady Tigers Tatiana Ellis, Allukesha Guy, and Juantale Cook all scoring in double figures, the Saint Paul's work to exploit the Lady Panthers defense and extend their lead.
Junior guard Tatiana Ellis posted a game high of 29-points on 5-of-14 shooting from the field. Ellis continues to shoot a high precentage from the free throw line as she connected on 15-of-18 free throws.
Junior guard Juantale Cook and freshman guard Allukesha Guy respectively contribute 13 and 11 points in the Lady Tigers victory. Both Cook and Guy added five rebounds a piece.
The Lady Panthers were led in scoring by junior forward Tonaey Smith with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field.
Both the Lady Tigers and the Lady Panthers were forced into 23 turnovers.
The Lady Tigers return to action on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 when they travel to Fayetteville, North Carolina to take on the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 pm at the Capel Arena.
